Day 8 Scottsdale to Tucson

Before leaving Scottsdale for the two-hour drive to Tucson, I thought I might stop at the Huhugam Ki Museum on the Salt River Reservation. I immediately felt good on leaving the freeway and the urban sprawl of phony adobe Scottsdale to drive out on the reservation.

The houses aren’t much but they are surrounded by open space and it’s possible to breathe.. Those Indians have got it good…i’d much rather live on the res than in a condo complex surrounded by malls…

Museum closed on the weekends. I was able to see a little hogan type hut on the property.
