Last night before dinner a band of tribal musicians entertained us with drumming and dancing.

This morning we took a jeep out into the countryside to visit a couple of tribal villages. The tribes in this area are the Garasia and the Bhil. Adivasi or tribal people make up about 9% of India’s population. The terrain just out of town is spectacular.
The tribals use jeeps to transport their goods and themselves to and from town. We are brought in the jeep to a sacred area by the river where the tribals have offered their ceramic horses to the goddess Kali Devi.
